Reclaiming Your Inner Artist: A Journey Back to Creativity
Pablo Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist once we grow up.” As children, we explored freely and created without fear—but along the way, societal pressures, rigid education systems, and the demands of adulthood often silenced that inner artist. In her talk, Lilli will explore how we can reconnect with our creativity and introduces practical tools to help you rediscover your inner artist.
Central to her approach is the idea that creativity is not just about MAKING art—it’s about living authentically and thus becoming a beautiful expression of life itself - a walking piece of art. This profound truth forms the heart of Lilli’s message, where she invites you to rediscover the creative, curious, and expressive spirit that lives within all of us. She will guide you through the essential areas of self-care that support creativity and fulfillment. You’ll leave with actionable steps to nurture your inner artist and explore your unique potential every day!
Lilli is a vibrant single mother of four, a musician, and a dedicated coach who has spent the past 26 years mastering the art of balancing life’s many demands while staying grounded and joyful. I entered the media industry as a London-based fashion and portrait photographer and moved into directing music videos and commercials.
In the 1990’s I founded a production company AIM with three partners. The first (and last) film the company made was ‘Before the Rain’. It was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars.
Over the next 15 years I set up a number of creative ventures in film, commercials and TV production in South Africa and the UK. I worked as producer, writer, director / DOP and a festival and live events executive producer.

In the 2000s, I took a break from the media industry to pursue other interests and businesses and start a family.
As this progressed I found myself drawn into circus and physical theatre which my partner and children had introduced me to. This led to the creation of Jump Fall Fly Productions, a film and live event production company named after the book my partner and ‘BOOM’ co-director, wrote about alternative education.
I have had a parallel and complementary career in behavioural health as a facilitator and coach trainer. I write articles and run masterclasses for professional coaching bodies on wellbeing and creativity.

Artists need Artists

About the Founder
As a trained actress and voice-over artist who studied in Berlin, I had to pause my acting training in 2023. Suddenly no longer being part of a drama school made me realise how essential an artistic network is — and how quickly those connections can disappear.
While completing my further training as a voice artist and expecting my daughter, I decided to create a new and more accessible network for people working in film, theatre and media.
Because I had previously lived in Spain and England, it was important to me from the beginning to include international artists and create a community that could connect people beyond language and cultural boundaries.
What started as a small WhatsApp group has now grown into a thriving community of more than 1,500 members across 11 specialised groups. Over 100 projects, including short films, creative collaborations and independent film productions, have already been initiated through the network.
I continue to run Artists Need Artists on a voluntary basis alongside my work as an actress, voice artist, producer and founder of Wilde Gefilde Studios. I am deeply grateful for everything this community has already become.
Our first major networking weekend is currently being planned in collaboration with a wonderful drama school in the heart of Berlin. We are also creating further opportunities for regular meetings, creative exchange and new collaborations.
I am incredibly excited about everything that lies ahead and about the opportunities this network can create for all of us as artists.
See you soon,
Caitlin
